All of the buildings have the old days style - quite unique really
We went horseback riding while in Skagway, these people below were our guides. A great bunch of kids!
Since I had never rode a horse before they gave me this old one - he was very quiet and slow - just right for me (after yesterday's happy hour!)
Here is Allan - he has been horseback riding before - he doesn't really like horses - he just went because I wanted to go and he hates to see me pout
http://explorenorth.com/library/history/bl-dyeacemetery.htm This site and others linked to it will give you some history on this area. The town was Dyea and the cemetery is Slide Cemetery. Dyea was the major town which lead to the pass over the mountain to the Yukon in the gold mining days. There was a mud slide in 1898 which took many lives of the people travelling over the mountain. Their bodies were buried at Slide Cemetery - many graves are unmarked.
