Saturday Feb 25, 2012

For you early birds, I accidentally posted this blog page
prior to its completion - so here goes

Photo above shows a  palapas being constructed
in the park - nice addition.

Another day in the high 30's, this little fellow
has found his cool shade spot early

Winds are low this morning so things have returned to normal at the beach

Here you can see how the waves have edged the beach
Sea moss
Drift wood
A family enjoying an early morning walk on the beach

Even the dogs are being walked, notice this one on the left is carrying his own coconut

There are at least 12 birds in this shot, don't they blend in well with their surroundings.

You can see the strength in this afternoon's wind
and the effect it has on beach umbrellas

The high wind has not discouraged Bob and Allan, they are enjoying the breeze and people watching

This young man is taking full advantage of the wind

The beginnings of a coconut tree in the garden  at our Casita
My before dinner drink tonight at Chilitas - Mmmmm!
When I came along, this little girl (Miranda) was playing bus with a friend. Miranda was sitting on the front stool driving and her friend on the back stool being the passenger. After a while the little friend left and Miranda had me sit on the back, after a while she wanted to trade places, so I drove and she rode. She doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish yet we had a hoot. I knew how to make the sound of my motor idling, acceleration and brakes. My little Spanglish provided me with the words "Tope" - Speed Bump and "Alto" - Stop. We had lots of fun - what a hoot! I hope she is there to play with tonight.

My favourite - the Moon Cactus Flower

We hope you have each enjoyed your day as much as we have enjoyed ours!
