February 19, 2008 Day 16

Today is our last day in Puerto Morelos – the Yucatan’s best kept secret I’m sure! I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting:
to vacation in this part of Mexico and not have the high cost of an all inclusive resort
a small community atmosphere while on vacation
rest and relaxation
a vast variety of good food eateries
inexpensive souvenir shops with the inventory variety of the larger centres
Top notch snorkeling/diving
to explore the Yucatan Peninsula and its Mayan history
Anything I can wish for in a vacation is here in Puerto Morelos!

As is normal with a last day in a place you have come to love, we made a last visit to our favorite places and said our farewells to those we have met in our short time here, many who have become friends – friends we hope to keep in touch with.

Tomorrow will be another day; we have made arrangements with the local taxi to come by at 6:00 a.m. to take us to the Cancun airport. We have checked our flight and it is on schedule to leave at approx 9:00 a.m. for Houston Texas, then on to Brownsville where we will land at approximately 4:45 in the afternoon and meet friends shortly after.
