Feb 25, 2013

Oops - I am a few days behind - lets catch up!!!

Today is Monday February 25th, 2013 - the last full day
for Clinton and family to be in Puerto Morelos

We took an early morning jaunt to the Mayan Handicraft Market
to drop off some sea beans to have  polished

Then we stopped at OXXO for bottled water
before we caught the bus to the Colonia.

Jed and Ava do like riding the collectivo

After a long walk about the colonia we stopped at Ol' Pepe for beverages

You are always welcome at Ole Pepe's

Once back in the Hotel Zone we took another walk along the beach

The kids decided they wanted dinner at Cantina Habanero

Ava is putting great thought into her order

Jed opted for onion rings - his favourite along with garlic toast??? Quit a combo! He ate it and enjoyed every mouth full!

Ava chose the most delicious burger in town!!

A walk about town before retirng for the night helps digest dinner and relax one for bed.
I caught this fellow in a stretch and yawn - he quickly turned it into a macho pose.
Quick on his feet for sure.
The community dogs have settled for the night and we did shortly afterward too.

More postings will be coming soon.

Feb 24, 2013

Today was a better day - we all woke up well rested.

Clinton was out early for his morning coffee at Oxxo,
while on his way he took morning sunrise shots

We met at Casa Caribe for brunch

The atmosphere is really nice here - the dining area is covered  and open on three sides. The sun, breeze and beauty of the gardens can be enjoyed while you eat. Awesome!
Welcome to the "Caribbean Kiss" a mix of fresh orange juice and strawberry juice

Mocktail Hour at the camp will never be the same again!

A brunch fit for a Princess served by waiter Pepi! - She loved it!!

And this one fit for a Prince!!

Once back at the Cabanas courtyard we find the iguanas
out basking in the warm morning sunshine.

A little newt is out looking for his lunch

A view of the beach from the Cabanas Puerto Morelos

Who says Canadians aren't proud?

We worked beach time into the day

Leigh and the kids had a very relaxing time working with their sand creation

Big Foot!!

 Then Pool Time

Cerveza time for some

Nap time for others

Some family quality time

Then we were off for more to eat. Eating becomes a habit not a necessity.
I have no idea who this man is - he just happened along with his female friend and stepped into our picture. We welcomed him, after all this is Puerto Morelos - everyone is friendly.

The kids chose La Panza Es Primero again

I don't know if it was the food or the view that enticed them back

We had silly time while waiting for our food

On our way home the kids prepared tomorrows lunch - tossed leftovers.

The end of another beautiful day in Paradise

Good Night!!!
