Monday Feb 13, 2012

Yesterday being Sunday was a very quiet day, mainly because the weather was overcast with a cold wind. We were looking for shelter during the day and dressed warm in the evening when we went out for dinner
no one on the beach at 7 this morning, just this one lone tent and its occupants

No one to be seen to the South

and no one to be seen to the North - very quiet

We wore our Guardian T's this morning - just for Nancy and staff at the Pharmacy back home.
We found another new restaurant for dinner, didn't get a photo of it but it is across from the Church. They serve pastas, pizzas etc. Mine above is Shrimp Alfredo and Allan's below is Chicken Alfredo
Oh Man it was good!!!

The weather was so cool I wore winter PJ's to bed to stay warm

On our walkk this morning we saw some more wild life - this is a cormorant drying his wings in the breeze. - Much nicer day today.

We walked over to the Colonia again, this time to do more sightseeing and shop for food.

Work was being done on the Catholic Church in the Colonia last year, it looks like they have it almost completed.

This is a great recycling idea wouldn't you say?

We stopped at a little restaurant for breakfast, this was the chef.

It is a dogs world here, he was just sleeping. I checked to make sure he was breathing because earlier we found a cat in much the same position and he wasn't.

Fresh meat for sale at the market.

This fellow was in shopping too, he was headed to the meat counter.
Fresh chickens that had not made it to the glassed in cooler yet.

We purchased |BBQ'd chicken at this little cookery today while in the colonia.

This is Abraham, I think he is in an earlier post. We had him paint the 2 pics above for our family room which will be decorated in Mexican style.

The day was much nicer today, we had more beach time and now we both look like lobsters. It looks worse that it is really. Clinton and Leigh will be arriving tomorrow and should be settled in by noon so we will be back on the beach again. Darn!!!
