March 2, 2013 - Saturday

This morning started out cold, while walking on the beach we wore our jackets

A cruise ship was on the horizon - we wondered how Dorothy and Chipper had enjoyed their recent Cruise vacation .

We walked North this morning to show Ann a different section of the beach. We suggested she try out for the Volley Ball Team while up at Desire Resort. If you have not heard of Desire perhaps you could check out this site.

I understand it is a twosomes, threesomes and moresomes resort. The only requirement to participate is to keep it clean - I think they mean both ends.

When we walked up the beach it was too early for anyone to be out, but on the way back there was one well buffed young man laying "naked as a jay bird" on a beach lounge chair. Allan said to Ann "look at that man" - Ann thought he was talking about the beach guard so she kept her eye on him. She walked past the naked man - so close she could have reached over and tickled his "foot" and she didn't see him!!! Oh Beverly - do you or don't you worry about this woman??

She wants to make one more trip to Desire Resort before she goes home.

This was the extent of the early morning sunrise

Before the walk was over we were starting to get some signs of blue sky
and it was getting warmer.

This property  has been privately owned for some time, while offers have been made the owner had until recently chose not to sell

If you are interested check out the website or perhaps call
one of the phone numbers listed in the above photo.

This is the Oceanic Research Centre

This is what is left of the cement figures used for the Underwater Museum between Isla Mujeres and Cancun. The story can be found on this site

This fellow looks like he is looking for something down below

We took a trip into Playa del Carmon for lunch and shopping

Lunch

The sign above the door lost its cover while Allan and I were standing under it when it fell hitting me on the right shoulder. It was plastic so no harm done - slight bruise.

When we arrived back in Puerto Morelos the Tejones were out looking for food.

The day did warmer and we had some beach time in the afternoon.

Ann has certainly not seen the best in Mexican weather - we are hopeful that it will get hot again  before we leave on Tuesday.

Mar 01, 2013

Today is Friday already, the weather has been anything but nice. Hopefully there is a change for the better soon. Ann with be thinking she is closer to home that she really is!!

We slept in this morning due to the rain - too wet for a walk on the beach but a great day for shopping

There has been a pair of shoes sitting to the top of a delivery truck  since we came over 3 weeks ago. Either the truck has not moved or is it has, it has not moved fast.

Brunch was had at El Nicho

Ann liked her "Jake" image dog

The Mexican Brinks delivering money to the money machine be the police station.
As you can see, it is a busy spot.

The rain today caused this fellow to quickly look for a pair of shoes - he says he has another pair at home the same - only for the opposite feet.

Featuring Argentinian wines

The Wine List with prices per bottle

The Menu - appetizers were served with each different wine.
The food and wine complemented each other of course.

Allan was reluctant to go with us but after it was over he was happy he joined us

Another great day in Puerto Morelos!!

Buenos noches y hasta luego!

Feb 28, 2013

We (that includes Ann) were up early and out on the beach
to see the sun rise -

Ann's foot prints in the sand

The remains of a cactus blossom

Breakfast in the Colonia again - at the little restaurant across from the library.

Then we took a walking tour of the Colonia

There is a lot in the foreground but I hope you can decipher the turkey in the background.

Found this cute little fellow shopping with his mistress in a fruit market.
 Nice couple, so they were.

Ann having her first beer of the day - if I hadn't have seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed she was drinking beer at 11 in the MORNING!!

It was good - Draft Beer

Then it started to rain! And did it pour!

Later in the afternoon we took a walk through this interesting building in Puerto Morelos - it is a very artistic structure.

Interesting, musicians and actors do provide entertainment
here at various times throughout the year.

Ann went shopping at the Mayan Handicraft Market and found Blackie the Cat

Then to Pelicanos for refreshments in the rain

And entertainment

I joined in with the musicians by shaking the maracas and doing the Mexican yeehaw at intervals. Once the song was over Allan called for the check, paid it, then took me home. It must have been the sound of my voice that got to him - I have laryngitis which made the yeehaws sound weird.

We treated ourselves to LOBSTER at El Pesquero for dinner tonight. Delicious!!
