Friday May 28th, 2010

Today we travelled from Kamloops to Vancouver, again the pics are self explanitory so no need for much commentary.

This is the dining car; there were 67 passenders on our train coach, half had first meal then the 2nd half had last meal. Those having the first sitting on day one had the second setting on day two












Hell's Gate on the Fraser River












Bee Hive shaped burners - they were used to burn all scarps of wood from their lumbering industry. These are not used any longer due to polution issues. They are now making building materials from the waste they used to burn.

This is a First Nations cemetery. Our commentary person told us the members of this tribe are burried standing up for spiritual reasons

Today we leave Kamloops with a train of 28 cars and 1,000 passengers. The train tour from Jasper met us in Kamloops to make the balance of the journey into Vancouver. The Rocky Mountaineer brings over 80,000 people into Kamloops annually.
