February 4 and 5, 2010

Life is slow here, something we could all become accustomed to in short order. I apologize for not having any photos of the beach - we have been there on several occasions believe me. I guess it is just that we are enjoying ourselves so much while there, that taking pictures just doesn't enter into my mind. I will make up for that tomorrow. This is "La Piccolina" which specializes in Mexican food - across from Cantina Habaneros

As we passed Ed's Cantina Habaneros it was easy to see that people were
having a great time. He had live entertainment again tonight.
Tonight we had diner at Hola Asia - this is coconut shrimp - to die for!!!

Thai Fish

Terriaki Chicken

A Chicken dish with bean sprouts and peanuts
(the name of the dish escapes me at the moment)

We are enjoying ourselves!
We were out for a walk this afternoon when it started to rain, we ducked
into Pelicanos and waited it out before heading back

Today ( Feb 5/10) we stopped at the Biergarten, I took pictures of their billboards
to give you an idea of their specials and their reasonable prices

I believe Ed from Cantina Habenero owns the El Rancho which has
delicious BBQ'd chicken which is cooked on the premises.
This is the tortilleria factory just down the street from us - they taste
wonderful and they were still warm when we bought them.

Here is a different privacy fence - I like the painted flower on the arch above the door
I bought a new pair of shoes - they are quite comfortable actually

Our landlord's security system

Some great looking dune buggy wouldn't you think?
We are just filling the time until our dinner arrives

Allan gets nothing this good at home!!!

Bob and Edith had shrimp and Allan and I had fish fillet
- we all enjoyed our dinner - it was great

This is were we ate dinner on Feb 4th - at El Coyote - great food, great service and good prices. We were the only people in the dining room so it was nice and quiet.

Here are some shots of our apartment, I am afraid I am not doing justice to it. Rob's pictures on
his site at http://www.almalibrebooks.com/rentals.htm are much better than mine.

Edith, Exavior and I - he is a great waiter, very attentive to your needs

This was made for us on our Anniversary, a nice little memento
Here are Allan, Edith and Bob enjoying a fruit drink at Juicy Rosy's Juice Bar

This sign is up our street a ways, these little critters remind you of a
racoon only because of the rings around their tails. There are lots of
them in a vacant lot and people come by to feed them seveal times a day.
Edith catching up on her reading - taking a rest from the puzzle
I figure if I can keep her buzy she will forget to bring out the cards - Oh GAWD how I hate playng cards and to think she brought a deck!!!

An early morning stroll on the beach brought us to this picture

That puzzle is bound to get completed before we leave at the end of the month

The Biergarten serves mostly German food , it is open from about 2 in the afternoon
until 10 in the evening. The food here is great and the prices are very reasonalble
Here we are on Feb 3rd at the Biergarten prior to our order coming
