Tuesday Feb 21, 2012

Clinton and Leigh left for home today. Their fleight was scheduled to leave at 11:30 for Toronto so we joined them early for breakfast at Chilitos and they caught a  taxi at 9:00 a.m.  It was a real treat for us having them join us in Puerto Morelos for the week.

It was a quiet day for all of us, we stayed close to our Casa  and relaxed.

The day was very hot again, the locals spend lots of time on the roof tops in the evening and so do their pets. I can not imagine what the high temperatures of their summers must be like.

This little pooch was waiting at the gate of a near by pizza place
Here we are at spaghettino's for dinner tonight

This is the Mayan market  across the street from Spaghettino's

If all goes well we are going to Isla Mujeres tomorrow, check it out at:

A great start to another day, and it has been a wonderful one

Clinton has really done well with his sunrise photography

An early morning walk about town - everything is quiet.

Even the pool at Clinton and Leigh's Cabanas is quite

One of the little shops on our street

more flowers for the flower lovers out there

 Showing off our feet

Leigh's beautiful pedicure stood up well

Clinton and Leigh enjoying their last day in Puerto Morelos for this year. Their flight leaves tomorrow morning at 11:30 for home.

When Leigh saw the wondering minstral coming she quickly put the hat over her face to make him think she was asleep.
Tonignt we started dinner at El Faro - I say started because we waited for over an hour then found out there was only one cook in the kitchen (doing one meal order at at time) and they had no  running water. Due to construction of the town sewage system their water line had been disconnected for whatever reason. Anywhere else they would have closed the restaurant, not here!! This is a picture of Edith and I doing moves to the music from the restaurant sound system to entertain the other four in our group.. We aren't really sure if it was our dancing or the long wait but it was a unanimous decision to leave and look elsewhere for dinner.

Leigh, Abraham and Clinton. Abraham has been busy painting for all of us. Great souvenirs for us  that come with humorous  stories as well.
