Yee Gads! It is March already!

Today was a quiet day, just R&R, reading books, snoozing and eating - What a life!!

We had lunch again at La Panza es Primero, (the ponch/stomach is first) I love their empanadas nocas with spinach sauce. Their decor is done in a Mexican boxing theme which I am not into but the food and ocean view is awesome.

These pics are views from the dining room - accompanied by a beautiful ocean breeze

The basket of lemons impressed me. Can you imagine using that many lemons  before they go bad and sent for composting?

Now this was an interesting concept - they have taken newspaper clippings and glued them to the windows then put picture frames on top of that. With the sun light shining through it gives a really neat effect.  Over the years we have tossed out old windows and frames, I have often thought,"If only something could be done with them for decorative purposes." Now I have an idea - will it materialize?? I guess it depends upon whether or not I come across more old windows and or frames.

Here are some smooth moves for you to practice in case  you might need them one day

Construction is still on going, notice the protective foot wear on these two workmen using a compactor

Tonight we had dinner at Al Chimichurri and ate outside. This picture shows the location of the chairs in relation to the travelled portion of the street - see the sandwich board style sign at the end of the tables? Now look at the width of the travelled portion of the road.
Here two vehicles meet, the camper knocked over the restaurant sign

two smaller vehicles doing the same thing - due to their smaller size there were no close calls

This pic is of the cooking facility at the restaurant, steak is their specialty - smallest size is 17 ounces!!!
Loved this little bug convertible!!

Like I said, not much happened today but tomorrow is going to be exciting. We booked a tour with Ecab Tours at www.ecabexplorer.com  to go to the Ek' Balam ruins and  Rio Lagartos

This is the tour page:

We will be gone the whole day, I look forward to having lots of pictures and stories to share with you from this trip.

Happy Birthday to all of you "leaplings" today

On our early morning walk we see this street sweeper working hard sweeping the sand to the sides of the street after installation of sewage lines

This one is for you  Clinton, it shows 8 Palapas being constructed on the beach in front of Villas  Latinas

The beach is already attracting bathers for the day

 Beach sightings

Fishermen cleaning the bottom of this boat. They scrubbed it with sand and later put on a liquid finish

 More beach sightings

The market was set up today as it is every Wednesday, lots  of things for sale

Local travelling minstrels tuning up for the day

Street  Sweeper still at work

One of many bicycling tours we see daily. I wonder if she can actually see anything or is she  just along for the ride?

We had dinner at La Pepita tonight, they have made some nice changes here since last year including new bathrooms.
