I see I have a lot of catching up to do!
Week # 10 December 9th to 15th, 2018
This is the staff from the best burger restaurant in Puerto Morelos - La Cabana-and we are fortunate to have them at the end of our street.
Every Sunday from mid morning until mid afternoon the street is lined with various vendors. Everything from jewelry, clothing and hand tools.
Speaking of amazing work - we had a sunscreen made for our roof top. The men who did the work live right here in Puerto Morelos - Villas Uno. We are very happy with the shade. More to come on the roof top in a later post.
Saturday December 15th Allan and I had to fly back to Canada for an overnight stay. Not because we wanted to, but for insurance purposes. Our out of country insurance requires us to return to Canada at least every 95 days. We left on October 7th and will be here in Puerto Morelos until March 6th. Mid December was the best time to make the trip.

During one of our walks in our village we came upon this man who makes furniture.
He does amazing work.

Early December celebrations work up to the 12th which mark the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe - more information can be found on this site----
There was entertain in the form of a Carnival in the bull ring grounds for several evenings as part of the Guadalupe celebrations.

What a remarkable looking animal!
A Brahman Bull was brought to the event, you can see children having their photos taken while sitting on the bull's back.
We are now into Mexican winter in this area, the dogs are wearing jackets.
The fellow above has his body warmer covering important parts. lol
We stayed at the Best Western on over night stay and were treated to a very nice suite.
We returned to Puerto Morelos the next day. While we were in Toronto the weather was just above 0 degrees and cloudy. We were certainly happy to be returning to our warm sunshine and our comfy Casa in Puerto Morelos.
