Sunday January 17, 2016

Today was another exciting day for us - the Air Conditioning hook up was completed!

There have only been a couple of hot humid days since our arrival, but we lived through them with no problems. They have been having abnormally warm weather here this year  so far, now that the A/C is  hooked up and working, the weather is turning colder to their more normal temperatures.  We had to dress warmer while in the courtyard in the late evening.

A walk about town shows lots of water at one of the major intersections in the Colonia. This one has huge hole underwater, certainly one should not attempt to ride a bicycle through it.

We made a trip to Oxo to purchase Heinz Ketchup

I found a child to impress with one of  my free puppets - he didn't like it but took  a sticker instead.

More water laying on the streets

Fresh pork at one of the many  Butcher Shops here nowadays.

Allan bought some a piece of that fresh pork rind to prepare the bbq grill and keep it from rusting

BBQ is prepping so let's get to that chicken we are having for supper.

Oh, feet for soup!

And there are two, both clean!

The rest is normal to us findings in the bird.

Mmm! Chicken dinner and veggies for dinner - smells great!

.......and he has a light in the bbq for those late night bbq's

Cooler in the house this evening.

Much cooler - without A/C!

This upcoming week is going to be just as  exciting for us, it will hold some work like  window cleaning and nest fluffing getting ready for  Monday Jan 25th, when Howard and Theresa come to stay with us. Then the holiday begins!
