Today is our last full day in Mexico for this trip
- hopefully the weather will warm up so Ann will understand
why people come South for winter vacations.
Here she is walking barefoot on the Caribbean shores sporting the ankle bracelet she purchased at the Mayan Jungle Market yesterday.
Fishermen are preparing for their day at sea
A construction worker up high on a structure they are building
on the beach in front of Villas Latinas
Ann at the pier infront of the two lighthouses
Bait fish caught for the fishing trip
Police officers arriving from Cancun for their shift in Puerto Morelos
Traffic jam at the intersection of Rojo Gomez and
the entrance road between the Highway and Puerto Morelos
ORANGE HAIR!!! That is different.
Pictures inside the Catholic Church here in Puerto Morelos
During our stop here Ann took the opportunity to change from shorts and top to a nice dress she had just purchased. She found a corner where she would be out of sight-we suggested she go into the confessional but she didn't take us up on it. Instead she changed in front of a stained glass window facing the street!! Good disguise I guess if anyone saw her they would think she was part of the design in the window. Poor Ann, you can dress her up but you can't take her out. HaHaHa. Her antics have provided us with may more good memories of Puerto Morelos.
Here is another flower for you to identify Nancy M, or anyone else who knows their flowers
We stopped here at Restaurante Argentino for coffee
See Ann's new dress? Very pretty.
This is the view from the school yard at the technical school here in Puerto Morelos
And here we are with Lorenzo - Lorenzo is a student here at this school
Allan and me with Lorenzo and his school Principal
Lorenzo is 13 years old, we have been been providing financial assistance
for his education over the past few years and will hopefully
continue to do so until he has completed his secondary education.
This is Juan - he lives in the Colonia and makes and sells jewellery from his vendors booth in the Mayan Handicraft Market here in town.. I have had him polish sea beans that I have found on the shore and also had him make pieces of jewellery for me. Juan is very friendly, he speaks English fluently and aims to please his customers. A very nice young man.
Ann was interested in the amount on dints in this little car.
Iguanas out enjoying the sun, I guess they are trying to charge up their solar panels for warmth during another cool night ahead.
We got into the water again today, the air is much warmer that it was yesterday.
This was yesterday - the air was very cool so one wanted to remain under water for warmth
Louise and Gaston Begin - we will not be seeing them or
Foxie until they return to Manitowaning in the spring
Ann had her fish for dinner tonight - we ate at Les Palmers
We are not going to be here to see the finished product so his wife
is going to e-mail us a photo. I will share it with you when it comes.
This is our last Buenas Noches from Mexico for this trip -
Good Night - Sweet Dreams
