Every day we create something to do - today the list (To Shirley from the List Queen) is:
- drop off laundry
- shop for food
- eat breakfast
- buy beer
- do the beach thing
- and have dinner
- not necessarily in that order.
Shirley, as I get older some parts of the list don't seem to carry the same level of importance as others - "the order" of the list has slumped to that lower rating. I thought you would appreciate that piece of knowledge.
The laundry did come first - it is early morning, the strays are napping after an eventful night I expect and Allan is dropping off the laundry as a Rooster crows in the back - behind the laundromat.
Not too much is happening in Po Mo this early in the morning
This picture is not clear - because of dust particles in the air. Allan needs a washer ground down so asks this young man at a construction sit to do so - He did a great job. Yes, Allan has found a few repair jobs to do in our Condo and has been about town in a successful attempt to get them done. People are so helpful here - it is amazing. Ya gotta love this place!!
Reuben from the "Restaurant Hall of Fame" saw us waiting at the bus stop and offered us a ride with him to the Colonia. Perfect, he dropped us off at the exact place we were headed.
The colours and the aroma of the produce are incredible
A worker in the market actually sits and takes all of the dry onion peals off the onions - that just makes you want to buy them, take them home, prepare them and put them in the your next meal.
And the array of colour is very pleasing to the eye
This young couple are having a beautiful beginning to a great day, earlier they were driving down the street and she had her hands covering his eyes - they were having a great time together.
We stopped for breakfast, (I forgot to take a photo of the restaurant), while in the colonia and had Mexican eggs for 110. Pecos The cook had heard our attempt at Spanglish I think and came out when were were finished eating to speak with us. She suggested on our next visit we try her huevos rancheros ( ranch eggs), we certainly will indeed. She gave us a quick Spanish lesson on phrases we did not already know and wished us well for the day. Nice lady - we will definitely be back.

These pictures bring back so many childhood memories - Grandma Wright making Head Cheese - I get a container of it now and again at the store but it never tastes the same - processed instead of home cooked- no comparison.
Chicken heads along with the neck, giblets and bones make a great soup stock! - Memories of those days on the farm flow back - killing the pigs and scolding them to remove the hair, we chopped the heads off the chickens and watched the birds flop around the barn yard until all signs of life vanished. They would lock us up - or at least put us on a watch list if we did that now, they would expect us to become serial killers.
Bob, you did us a huge favour, the idea of a pull luggage bag for been is such a great idea - it will hold 2 - 18 pks of beer - sure is a lot easier to pull than carry. The excursion salesman in front of the pharmacy asked if we were changing houses. lol
I took these pics for colour - didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. I bought a cheap point and shoot for my upcoming trip to Guatemala - it is so cheap that my perspiration has caused the icons on it to rub off. You get what you pay for they say.

Tonight we had dinner at "Restaurant Hall Of Fame" - Reuben and his significant other Magnolia operate the restaurant and do a great job
Allan had Chicken Cordon Blue
and I had pork tacos - Delicious!
On our walk about town following dinner I found a little girl to play with. I have brought along puppets this year for the children - we have a short play time with the puppets then when they have made friends I leave the puppet with them. They love it and the parents are very appreciative of the gesture and the puppet gift.
Everything on today's list was accomplished!!!! Good night all!! Buenas noches!
