February 15th another post from Paradise!!!

Another day in Puerto Morelos

Lots of construction on our street - many eye appealing changes at this end of town this  year.

Killing time waiting for breakfast to be served at "Shiva" past Spagettino's and across from the Mayan Handicraft Market.

I ordered Sopes, Mmmmmmmmmmmm

Allan ordered  - omelet/beans/tacos.
The total of our breakfast was $8.00 USD

And while there I found 7 puppies - This Mama is one busy lady!

Our walk took us to the town dock where these fellows were cleaning their catch of fish

The pelicans are waiting patiently for their allotted scraps.

Some people were patiently fishing from the pier

I just love this view

This is a catch of  Lion fish. They are an invasive species new to this area, with no known predators. The locals are catching them and eating what they can of them. apparently they are delicious.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Spagettino"s
 for Valentine's Day.

Allan had breaded Chicken and I had Shrimp Linguine,

then I treated myself to "Tiramisu" OMG it was sooooo good!

Lots of activity in the park tonight -

Would you think the fellow in the red shirt is guilty of something? He has "Who me?" written all over him.

The night wouldn't be complete without Marquesitas!

Lots of trinkets for sale,

music being played,

and fun being had.

These bottles were interesting, they are made of coloured glass, mosaic tiles glued in a pattern and then filled with white Christmas lights. A very interesting effect.

The Moon Cactus has no sign of blooms yet this year.

This little one was a recipient of one of my puppet.

The dessert van was out again tonight but we passed it up because of having such a wonderful (filling) dinner!

OUR CASA "CASA JARDIN"

Casa Jardin,  our home away from home this year.

This year we chose to stay in the South end of
Puerto Morelos on Rojo Gomez. We are enjoying
this end of town very much, it is  quiet and private.

This is what you  see of our accomodations from the street.

t

The name of our accommodations is "Casa Jardin"
in English it is called "Garden House" There are two apartments in the casa, we have the ground floor.

Once you pass through the gate you enter into the front garden.

It always amazes me that you have no idea what lies behind the gate until you entre. Guests announce themselves vocally (by yelling) outside the gate, once heard the casa occupants go to the gate to greet the visitor(s) and possibly let them in.

After hearing you announce yourself at the gate, your greeting host may accompany you to the casa entrance.

As you step inside  you are in the
 kitchen/dining room of our apartment.

This is our sitting room/bedroom

This is the bathroom. The shower has no closure and the shower water is warm to cool.

The private back patio on the mangrove.

The night sounds of frogs and insects  are very relaxing.

And yes, I have a cloths line to hang hand washables. We love it!!!!
