We took the ADO and ventured into Play del Carmen for a day of sightseeing and visiting with friends from the "UP" (upper peninsula) of Michigan. They vacation at "El dorado Spa and Resort" which is about 15 minutes south of Puerto Morelos. Our ADO bus awaits us

Allan and Bob in line to get tickets for the ADO back to Puerto Morelos

Even the bartender took cover during the rain

Having a little fun during the rain in Playa del Carmen

Another modelling of hats?

Allan was served a "Sol" on ice - big suck!!

We ducked into this little place during the rain

Lunch in Playa

Friends from the "UP"

We had lunch here in Playa

We are waiting for the ADO bus to come along and take us to Play del Carmen

The lighthouses under a friendly morning sky.
I can't seem to get enough pictures of this scene - the old lighthouse to me represents a strong history of the area, it's people and the challenges faced; the new lighthouse represents a future of optimism and promise.
Another excellent dinner was enjoyed here

A "Miami Vice" made especially for me at Ed's "Cantina Habanero"
which tasted awesome on a hot afternoon.

This is interesting - camouflaged??

The light houses under a sulking sky

A fisherman at the pier in Puerto Morelos -
he is cleaning his catch of the day; you will notice
in the small box to the left of his foot there are lobster tails
This is our server at the local Ice Cream Shop - my favourite flavour is "COCONUT"
there are strips of real coconut in it -mmmmmmmmmmmm - SO GOOD!

Many choices of great tasting produce at the Market
The Wednesday Fruit and Vegetable Market by the Church in Puerto Morelos - great fresh fruit at reasonable prices

Today we hired a taxi and went into Cancun for the day.
Bob bought a new pair of shoes - and who
says only women have a shoe fetish?

JAWS - I was going to lay in it's mouth but

no one volunteered to take my picture

another fountain in the mall
This is a water fountain - it shoots water from one side

to the other - I caught it in between water spurts
more canals - makes one thing of Venus Italy
The mall goes on forever
Edith caught petting a silver jaguar - and I almost got caught
taking the picture - you see at the bottom left there is a sign
"no cameras"

There are canals throughout the mall area

Bob and Edith at La Isla Shopping Mall

Our taxi driver took us to the La Isla Shopping Village in Cancun
a very interesting shopping mall
Senior Frog's for Lunch

Guess who??

And again?

Who had the cutest butt???

We all got a sticker -
this one says Happy Hour At My Age Is A Nap

Bob enjoying a cold one

Edith and Allan wondering what would be the next item
of entertainment here at Senior Frog's
I asked for a mug of cerveza - when I got served this I thought
I had died and gone to cerveza heaven

a bit of the skyline from Senior Frog's in Cancun

We are at a Mexican Shopping Mall in downtown Cancun

no end to the items for sale here

Edith and Bob are enjoying their shrimp

and I my garlic fish

Another great place to eat
